WebAgencies.com was founded in late 1998 as a means of leveling the electronic playing field for small- to medium-sized insurance brokers. Some sort of Internet future was inevitable, and our founders were in search of a definitive Internet strategy for their own agency. What they found was both frustrating and promising.
It seemed that nothing was simple. What was the best use of the Internet for an agency? There was e-mail, websites, e-commerce, web-enabled office automation . . . too many choices. Finding established Internet professionals who were willing to try and understand the Insurance industry proved difficult. And at some point in the investigation, it became clear that the students had become the teachers to some degree. So WebAgencies.com’s founders found partners for the technical aspects of their Internet strategy and moved ahead with all they had learned, now confident that an insurance agent could create the insurance agent’s Internet solution. And WebAgencies.com’s founders decided to offer their experience to agents at large.
WebAgencies.com has a simple business philosophy: “What is good for insurance agents is good for us.” Helping agents increase their revenue and compete against the new Internet ventures is our primary goal. Our services are designed with only this goal in mind. We partner with any companies which we feel offer value to agents, and provide better prices and support for their products and services than can be had anywhere else.
